WHAT HAPPENED?
The former Manchester United and West Ham star is enjoying his life in South Korea as he shared a series of stories on his Instagram account featuring his team-mate at FC Seoul. The 31-year-old joined the K League 1 club in January as a free agent and has already scored a goal in the club's friendly match against Japanese university side Kanoya.
In one of his Instagram stories, Lingard posted a video of his team-mate emulating his celebrations funnily in the dressing room, while in another story he could be seen speaking Korean.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Lingard remained a free agent for more than six months after he left Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022/23 season. In between he had trained with West Ham and Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq but he never formally joined them. He reportedly turned down as many as 26 offers from clubs around the world before finally signing for the South Korean club.

According to , another Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab reportedly tried to sign the winger in January but the deal could not be pushed through in time.
