WHAT HAPPENED?
While Barcelona and Milan were heavyweight candidates assessing Pubill's situation this summer, Wolves have submitted a €15 million (£13m/$18m) bid for the right-back, a report by claims. He was Barca's prime full-back target last summer while Milan were among the interested parties this summer.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
With Nelson Semedo's contract already expired and the player yet to accept the new four-year renewal offer, Vitor Pereira's side have fixed their gaze on the 22-year-old. Almeria are open to selling Pubill, and initially demanded €19m (£17m/$22m), with 20 per cent going to his former club Levante as part of a sell-on clause. Although Wolves' offer falls short of the amount asked by the Segunda Division side, the Premier League team still lead the race for his signature.
